The Urban Arrow Family cargo bike is one of my favorite cargo bikes, and the bike I personally ride every single day. It helped me replace a car with 2 young kids. You can see a complete overview of the Urban Arrow Family bike here.
As I write this, there are four current model variations of the Urban Arrow Family Cargo Bike available and the conversation about model variations is one I have a lot with customers and on the interwebs so I thought I would put all the details I have in one place to reference. The details below are all specific to the US market, different country markets may vary.
What the Models Have in Common
Before we get into the differences, let's discuss what all of the Urban Family models come with stock (my review on this bike is coming soon!):
- Bosch Mid-drive Motor (Performance or Performance CX) and a frame battery (400Wh or 500Wh)
- Integration with the amazing Urban Arrow Family accessory line
- Enviolo shift system, all but the Limited Edition use the Enviolo CA Cargo system which is an internal continuously variable shifting that does not have clicks between gears, giving you unlimited options between
- Lights that integrate with the Bosch system
- Durable Schwalbe tires
- Disc brakes
- Solid kickstand (one of my favorite on the market)
- Abus frame lock that is keyed alike to the battery
- A bench seat with 2 over the shoulder harnesses
- A big ding dong bell
Urban Arrow Family UA 3 with Performance / 400Wh Battery $4799
In the US there are a handful of Urban Arrow Family bikes available with the UA 3 frame and parts spec that are now discounted from Urban Arrow. Below are the major differences:
On the frame, the cable housing is routed differently and the rear dropouts are different. Additionally, there is a slight cut out on the seat tube so the seat post can go ever so slightly lower.
For parts, the pedals, grips, and front light are different.

Urban Arrow Family UA 4 with Performance / 400Wh Battery $4999
This is the model that I have in for a demo and when the sale bikes from above are sold out this will be the "standard" Urban Arrow Family. They are close to being the same bikes but with nicer grips, pedals, front headlight, and if you are the mechanic you'll enjoy the better dropouts and cable routing. The easiest way to see the difference is the new modern Urban Arrow logo on the front frame.

Urban Arrow Family UA 4 with Performance CX / 500Wh Battery & Shimano ZEE Brakes $5999
This is where we need a spreadsheet. Take the above bike and add a more powerful Bosch Performance CX motor and battery with more juice 500Wh vs 400Wh. Finally, add much nicer Shimano ZEE brakes for better stopping power.
One very important thing to know about the options is that if you want a Dual Battery setup where the batteries run together and charge together then you need the Performance CX option. The Performance option is not programmed for 2 batteries.

I have one of these ready to go home! The new UA 4 frame, Bosch Performance CX motor, and 500Wh battery paired with the new Enviolo Autoshift, Magura disc brakes, Suspension Seat Post, Gates Belt Drive, and Supernova (bright!) lighting. Only 100 will be available to the US market.
